Library Science Projects
Graduate school
These projects were created during my two years as a Library Science graduate student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Copyright and Licensing for Artists
A LibGuide created for INLS 690 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Open Access. This LibGuide focuses on copyright, visual literacy, and open access image resources.
Bibliocircuitry Project: Baking/Feeling
An Adobe Spark page created for INLS 690 Information Professionals in the Makerspace. This project focused on integrating makerspace tools, such as 3D printing, circuits, and papercrafts, into a book in an effort to shed light on the diversity of makerspace users.
A LibGuide created for INLS 501: Information Resources and Services that focuses on podcast creation.
Duke University Library Help Videos
These four videos were made as part of my semester-long Field Experience at Duke University. As the instruction assistant to the Librarian for Visual Studies and Dance, I ideated and created these videos to supplement one-shot instruction sessions. Additionally, I led a performance task study with Duke students to gather qualitative data that would help assess the effectiveness of the video content and structure. The presentation I gave at the Duke Research and Instruction Librarian meeting outlining my Field Experience is also linked below.
Poster for the 2021 ARLIS/NA Virtual Conference
I presented this poster on May 13, 2021 at the Art Libraries Society of North America conference. The poster was available from the beginning of the conference until June 9th, 2021. The information is based on my master’s paper, Interpreting Desires: The Experiences of Artists in Archives, which you can read on the Carolina Digital Repository.
